How long have you been a certification body?
IQS has been accredited by JAS-ANZ since December 1995.

What are the qualifications of your auditors?
IQS maintains an auditor base of both full-time and subcontract staff.  IQS auditors have an average of 10 years auditing experience and an average of 15 years quality industry experience.

How do you determine the technical competence of an auditor?
IQS conducts extensive evaluations of prospective auditors to ensure the technical competence of each individual.  This evaluation includes checking of references, verification of backgrounds and testing.  Many of the auditors employed by IQS are experts who teach classes on auditing.

Is there a clear division of responsibilities between certification and consulting?
As a certification body, IQS does not engage in any consulting.  Every step has been taken to ensure audit independence and impartiality.  These steps have been reviewed and approved by JAS-ANZ.

Is the JAS-ANZ accreditation accepted internationally?
Yes.

Is a list of certified companies available?
Yes.  IQS maintains a Register of all its certified companies.  For details see www.jas-anz.com.au.

What is your policy on client confidentiality?
IQS, in accordance with IEC/ISO Guide 62 guidelines, maintains strict client confidentiality.
